Ruby is a Portland-based technology company and leader in live virtual receptionist services. Known for their joyful, human approach to customer service, Ruby needed a website that clearly communicated their offerings while letting their playful personality shine through. I partnered with Studio DAD, Ruby’s brand design team, in-house developers, and the Ruby team to bring their new website to life.

I worked closely with the Ruby team to understand their goals and user needs, helping lead workshops that identified key audience types and how each group used the site. From those insights, we mapped a new site flow focused on clarity, conversion, and ease of use. I then developed wireframes to align on structure and functionality before moving into visual design.
Using Studio DAD’s expressive brand system as a foundation, I designed the website to balance usability with moments of delight. Thoughtful motion, playful interactions, and clear hierarchy allowed the site to feel friendly and intuitive without sacrificing clarity.
The redesigned website reflects Ruby’s warmth and personality while providing a clear, effective experience for prospective customers. The collaborative process resulted in a site that supports Ruby’s business goals and gives their internal team a flexible foundation for future growth.
